The “Venizelos Route” on Kasos Enhanced with Support from Paths of Greece

The historic “Venizelos Route,” one of the most iconic trails on Kasos, is being upgraded to become even more accessible to visitors. As part of the “Trail Guardian” Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program by Paths of Greece, and with the valuable support and generous sponsorship of the Chalkidon company, a new, elegant information sign has been installed at the trailhead.

The sign, made from Stratimage material and designed in the form of a lectern, provides hikers with useful information while seamlessly integrating with the landscape’s aesthetic and the existing signage. This initiative enhances the hiking experience on the island, highlighting the cultural and natural heritage of Kasos and promoting sustainable tourism.

The initiative by Paths of Greece and Chalkidon is a tangible demonstration of how collaboration between specialized organizations and the private sector can yield concrete results for local communities. The “Trail Guardian” program aims precisely at this: the maintenance, protection, and promotion of Greece’s trails, turning them into a vibrant attraction for visitors from all over the world. The Venizelos Route is a shining example of this philosophy.

We invite you to visit Kasos and walk this unique trail, experiencing firsthand the island’s beauty and the value of the initiatives that showcase it.
